An officer by day and a baker by night.
That’s the life of Pittsburgh police officer, Paul Becker, who balances two very different careers.
When he’s not sifting through flour, he’s sifting through evidence.
Becker handles forensics for all sorts of crimes, but when he’s done with that shift, he gets to work in the kitchen to help out his wife Nancy.
“I’m usually here on the weekends until at least about two o’clock in the morning. It’s just me here. It’s very cathartic just to be by myself and to focus and do what I’m doing.”
-Paul Becker
The Beckers make all kinds of cakes from soldiers to castles and even a Christmas Story leg lamp cake.
Focus is what he needs when it comes to both jobs, as well as accuracy and precision.
“I’ve never worked a day in my life because I’ve had too much fun to call it work.”
-Paul Becker
