(NEXSTAR) — A Kentucky boy channeled his hatred of Tom Brady into a higher pursuit and made waves at his school’s science fair.
For his project, 10-year-old Ace Davis set out to prove one of the most successful quarterbacks of all time was, in fact, a cheater.
“I hate Tom Brady,” Davis said. “He’s been accused of cheating before. I want him to be caught.”
Ace said he and his mother and sister started throwing footballs, a 5-pound ball, a 7-pound ball and a 9-pound ball, at varying levels of inflation. They made note of how far each ball traveled and their respective inflation levels and discovered that the “underinflated footballs,” traveled the furthest, giving Brady “a competitive advantage” in the Patriots’ victory against the Indianapolis Colts during the 2015 NFL playoffs, which prompted the “Deflategate” controversy, in which Brady was suspended for four games and the Patriots were fined $1 million.
Ace concluded that “The Patriots were found guilty of doctoring football [sic], thus losing $1,000,000 and future draft pics. Tom Brady is indeed a cheater.”
A photo of Ace’s project has more than 3,000 likes and nearly 5,000 shares on Facebook.
“Hater level: 100,” a caption on the post, written by Ace’s father Christopher Davis, reads.
Christopher Davis also claimed his son “won the science fair,” but the school’s website says he earned honorable mention honors, which is still good enough to move to the next phase of the competition will take place in Lexington, Kentucky on the day before the Super Bowl.
Ace, who is a quarterback himself told the website NFL Draft Diamonds his favorite quarterback is Jameis Winston of the Buccaneers.
When asked what message he would have for Brady, he said, “Gimme some of your money, you don’t deserve it.”
