State College Area High School baseball announced the resignation of coach Troy Allen Wednesday.

Allen coached State High for three seasons. The Little Lions missed the playoffs in 2016, but then tripped to the state semifinals in 2017. The team lost in the 2018 subregional after outscoring Erie McDowell – but having to forfeit after the team’s pitcher went over pitch limit.
State High won two district championships in the last two seasons.
