Jon Condo’s path from Central Pa to the NFL is a unique one.
The Philipsburg-Osceola grad attended the University of Maryland on a football scholarship as a linebacker, where we ran into James Franklin, who was an assistant for the Terrapins.
In his sophomore year at Maryland, the starting long snapper failed out of school, and coaches told Condo to start practicing snapping a ball between his legs. Later that Summer, he was given the starting long snapper job.
That one opportunity has led to a 13 year NFL career, mostly with the Oakland Raiders. Condo has gone to the Pro Bowl twice.
