The Altoona Curve hoped to host a former NFL quarterback when they welcome the Binghampton Rumble Ponies to town Thursday.
According to a report by ESPN, now-minor-league baseball player Tim Tebow will not make the trip to Altoona and he will not play again this season.
Mets’ minor-league OF Tim Tebow broke the hamate bone in his right hand swinging the bat this weekend and is scheduled to have surgery Tuesday and is now likely out for the season, per MLB source. #sticktobasketball— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 23, 2018
Tebow is an Eastern League All-Star batting .273 on the year with six home runs, but a team-leading 103 strikeouts.
