The Altoona Curve hoped to host a former NFL quarterback when they welcome the Binghampton Rumble Ponies to town Thursday.

According to a report by ESPN, now-minor-league baseball player Tim Tebow will not make the trip to Altoona and he will not play again this season.

Tebow is an Eastern League All-Star batting .273 on the year with six home runs, but a team-leading 103 strikeouts.
