LORETTO, Pa. – A big 31-6 win over Wagner helped the Saint Francis Football team to collect three NEC awards this week.  Junior quarterback Bear Fenimore (Austin, Texas/Westwood) was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week.  Junior safety Hakeem Kinard (York, Pa./York Catholic) earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors and freshman receiver Ra’Shaun Henry (Copperas Cove, Texas/Copperas Cove) was named NEC Rookie of the Week.
 
Fenimore had a solid performance on Saturday.  He completed 20-of-31 passes for 293 yards and three touchdowns.  He connected with nine different receivers and threw touchdown passes to three different receivers.
 
In the second quarter, he threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to junior Kamron Lewis (Fresno, Calif./Edison) after hitting freshman Joel Denley (Beaumont, Texas/West Brook) on a 30-yard strike earlier in the drive. 
 
Early in the third quarter, Fenimore led SFU on an 85-yard scoring drive, ending with a two-yard touchdown pass to freshman Terell Johnson (Burlington, N.C./Cummings).  In the fourth quarter, Fenimore threw a perfect over-the-shoulder pass to Jorge Solano (Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Springs Charter) in the end zone.
 
Through two games, Fenimore ranks 12th in the FCS in passing yards (573), sixth in passing touchdowns (6) and 13th in completion percentage (66.1%).
 
Kinard was all over the field on Saturday with six tackles, two solo, 1.5 tackles for loss, a sack, two pass breakups and an interception, which he returned 70 yards. 
 
He broke up a pass in the first quarter to force a Wagner punt.  In the second quarter, Kinard had a sack for a nine-yard loss to help push Wagner to a long field goal attempt and broke up another third down pass to force Wagner to kick another field goal, which was blocked.
 
In the fourth quarter, Kinard combined with sophomore Da’Jon Lee (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) for a tackle for loss.  With Wagner driving and facing 2nd and Goal at the 10, Kinard stepped in front of a receiver to pick off a pass at the one yard-line and returned it to the Wagner 29. 
 
Through two games, Kinard has nine tackles, with four solo, 1.5 tackles for loss, a sack, three pass breakups and two interceptions.  He ranks third in the FCS in interceptions. 
 
Henry caught three passes for 81 yards on Saturday, with each of his catches contributing to scoring drives.  Henry was the first receiver other than Lewis to lead SFU in both catches and yards in the past 13 games.
 
On SFU’s second drive of the third quarter, Henry caught passes for five and 47 yards on back-to-back plays.  He added a 29-yard catch to setup a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
 
Henry has four catches for 85 yards on the season.  He ranks 29th in the FCS in yards per catch with 21.2.
 
The Red Flash takes on Towson on Saturday at 7 p.m. at DeGol Field in a big non-conference matchup.  SFU jumped out to a lead last year at Towson before falling 35-28.  The Tigers are 1-1 this season.
