STATE COLLEGE – Whether it’s running full speed up one of the steepest hills in Happy Valley or adding explosive strength in the weight room, the Nittany Lions describe their current stretch as the “Summer of Domination.”

Without formal football practices to worry about, players can push their bodies to the limit in June.

Junior running back Akeel Lynch says this month is all about both heavy lifting and heavy running.

“I think definitely June you have enough time to work hard and let our bodies recover for upcoming camp and up for the season,” Lynch says. “So this is definitely the toughest month. This is where the games are won and this is where the work behind the scenes starts to begin, so we enjoy the process.”

“Now it’s kind of a last push,” senior linebacker Ben Kline says. “The season’s right around the corner and we know we have to get ready and that sense of urgency kind of picks up in the summer.”

The Penn State lacrosse field is where you can see the Lions work out up close and personal at the 2015 Lift for Life.

The fundraiser is officially set for Saturday, July 11 at 11 a.m.
