The defending National Champions return to the wrestling mat in November.  On Thursday, Penn State announced details on ticket sales.

The Penn State wrestling team, winner of five of the last six NCAA and Big Ten titles, has announced the start of public ticket sales for the 2016-17 BJC Dual as well as standing room only (SRO) tickets for the Nittany Lions’ six Rec Hall dates.

Head coach Cael Sanderson’s Nittany Lions will host Lehigh on Sunday, Dec. 4. The public can purchase BJC Dual Tickets beginning Thursday, September 15, at 10 a.m. by visiting www.gopsusports.com, calling 1-800-NITTANY or stopping by the BJC Ticket Office from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Penn State’s six Rec Hall dates are as follows: vs. Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 13; vs. Binghamton on Sunday, Dec. 11; vs. Rutgers on Jan. 13-15 (date TBA for TV); vs. Northwestern on Sunday, Jan. 29; vs. Illinois on Friday, Feb. 10; and vs. Maryland on Sunday, Feb. 12. Fans can purchase SROs to any of these events beginning Thursday, September 15, at 10 a.m. by calling 1-800-NITTANY based on availability, on a first come, first serve basis.

With the increasingly high demand for Penn State wrestling tickets, the Nittany Lions have wrestled at least one dual meet in the Bryce Jordan Center in each of the last three years (two last year). The Lion/Mountain Hawk battle will mark the second time that Sanderson and the Lions have welcomed one of Pennsylvania’s other top programs. Penn State averaged a school record 8,756 fans per dual last year and heads into the new season with 32 sell-outs in its last 33 duals, including 29 straight in Rec Hall and three of four in the BJC.

The Nittany Lions recently completed a 2015-16 season that saw Sanderson’s squad win its fifth NCAA National Championship in the last six years, its fifth Big Ten title in the last six years, a share of the 2016 Big Ten Regular Season (dual meet) Championship, the NWCA National Dual Meet Series title, and its sixth straight Southern Scuffle crown. The team went 16-0, 9-0 in Big Ten duals.
