It’s a program-best start in the conference for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions have won 11 of their first 14 Big Ten games.

An explosive offense has keyed the success.

Penn State leads the conference in both batting average and runs scored during the Big Ten season.

“Am I surprised by what they’ve done this year? I’m actually not,” head coach Amanda Lehotak says. “I think they can finish top four (in the Big Ten), it’s ripe for the taking. I think they can go to the postseason and I think they can make some noise.”

“This is definitely where I expected to be in my senior year with the talent that this team has,” senior outfielder Macy Jones says. “Especially with the underclassmen coming in and really helping us out. I think all the seniors can say that we expected to be here.”

The Lions are on the road this weekend with a three game series at Iowa.
