The excitement of the Penn State season is growing as we inch closer to Saturday, with kick off to Penn State’s first game of the 2018-19 season, many are gearing up ahead of time.

Whether this is your first season or 50th, the first game of the season is a time to come together.

“I’m hoping for the Big Ten Championship and a National Championship,” said Stacey Sharpe, Manager, the Family Clothesline.

“We’ve been Penn State fans since 1960, so it’s just going to get better,” said Vincent Tedesco, a Penn State fan. “There’s no two ways about it.” Vincent Tedesco and his wife, Susan were fans before they met.

“I started going to games when i was a junior in high school because I was dating a guy at Penn State,” said Susan.

They stopped by the Family Clothesline to pick up gear before the first tailgate of the year.

” My husband is good at grilling stickeys,” said Susan.

 “One of the people coming to the tailgate is a brand new kid, 11 years old,” said Vincent. “Never been to a Penn state football game, so I bought him a stick and we’re going to have catch. Maybe he’ll pick up the stick and some day for Penn State.”

“Every tailgate needs the cooler bag,” said Sharpe. For your drinks, keep them cold.”

You may want to stop sooner than later according to Sharpe. “By Friday night, you know, 100s of people will be coming in through the doors, usually.”

After the preparations are complete, it’s all about the game.

“It’s going to be a great game,” said Vincent. “Because we have a great team with a great coach. And I’m looking forward to it.”

“We’re here to win every game, haha!” said Sharpe.
