Penn State men’s basketball could be without one of its strong backcourt players next season.

According to a report by FightOnState.com, guard Rasir Bolton has entered the transfer portal.

Bolton is entering his sophomore season at Penn State after playing a key role as a true freshman. Bolton can still choose to return to Penn State after entering his name into the transfer portal.

Bolton finished second in scoring for the Nittany Lions as a true freshman with 11.6 points per game. He also averaged two rebounds per game. Bolton totaled 20 steals and 83 turnovers in his only season with Penn State.

This comes after the team’s leading scorer Lamar Stevens declared for the NBA draft, but can still return to school after hiring an agent.
