Quarterback Sean Clifford set to take his shot

Following record-breaking quarterbacks will never be easy.

Sophomore-to-be Sean Clifford looks to be at the top of the quarterback depth chart in the fall unless Tommy Stevens decides to stay (again), Will Levis rapidly climbs the depth chart, or Penn State brings in a transfer quarterback.

Clifford saw some significant playing time last season. He completed his first five college passes for 195 yards in a backup role to Trace McSorley – you know – the guy who won more games than any other quarterback in Penn State history.

Now Clifford has a chance to take over the Penn State offense with the senior Stevens entering the transfer portal.
