Teasdale had expectations of competing for Penn State at 125 pounds this season as a freshman.
Teasdale is a four-time PIAA state champion for Jefferson-Morgan High School. He was a true freshman for Penn State who withdrew from school during the fall semester. He credits an illness for his departure.
I have left Penn State this fall semester for health issues. I will be returning to Penn State University this January at full capacity.— Gavin Teasdale (@Teasdale_Gavin) November 20, 2018
Sanderson said Teasdale is no longer on the Penn State wrestling roster. He had reportedly been added back to the roster earlier this month and hoped to compete at the Southern Scuffle.
Teasdale only had two losses in his high school career.
