Penn State scored the winning runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to move past Binghamton at home Tuesday.

Penn State defeated the Bearcats 5-3 to break a three-game losing streak. Penn State is coming off losing its last three games giving up a sweep to Minnesota last weekend.

According to a Penn State Athletics media release, Penn State is 14-6 on the season which is tied for its best start since 2000.
