Penn State women’s basketball was set to play at Michigan State Thursday night – but extreme cold temperatures have forced a change of plans.

According to a Penn State media release, the game has been postponed to Feb. 27. Michigan State has closed campus Thursday due to the record-breaking cold temperatures sweeping through the Midwest.

Both the Lady Lions and the Spartans had a bye week scheduled from Feb. 25 through March 1. So now, the two teams will play on Feb. 27 without any other changes needed to the schedule.

Penn State is back to work Sunday at 2 p.m. hosting Iowa at the Bryce Jordan Center.
