Iowa outscored Penn State 11-0 in the last two minutes of the game to escape Happy Valley with a 89-82 Wednesday night.
Rasir Bolton and Josh Reaves each scored 16 points to lead the Nittany Lions. Big man Mike Watkins finished with a double-double with 11 rebounds and 11 points. Freshman guard Myles Dread scored 14 points with four three-pointers.
The Nittany Lions now drop to 0-7 in Big Ten play.
Iowa’s Luka Garza scored a game-high 22 points and also pulled down 12 rebounds. Guard Jordan Bohannon scored 19 points including a game-icing three-pointer with 36 seconds left.
