Penn State junior forward Lamar Stevens will not get his chance to impress scouts at the NBA Combine or the G-League Elite Camp this month.
Update:
According to a Penn State spokesperson, both Stevens and Josh Reaves have workouts scheduled with individual NBA teams – which could be their chance to impress scouts.
The NBA released a list of 66 expected attendees to the NBA Combine Wednesday. Stevens was not on the list.
The list features seven Big Ten players.
Stevens also did not land on the list of players invited to the G-League Elite Camp which allows college players and current G-League players to impress NBA and G-League scouts. The camp invites 40 college players and 40 current G-League players.
According to an NBA media release, a select number of players attending the G-League Elite Camp will earn an invite to the NBA Combine.
The G-League Elite Camp takes place before the NBA Combine May 12-14 in Chicago.
The NBA Combine takes place May 14-19 also in Chicago.
Stevens declared for the NBA draft, but still has the option to return to school for his final year of eligibility per NCAA rules.
