The Penn State Lady Lions fell to No. 13 seed Wisconsin in its Big Ten Tournament opener.

No. 12 seed Penn State closed the lead to five points near the final two minutes of the game, but eventually fell to the Badgers 65-57 Wednesday afternoon. Wisconsin will advance to play fifth-seeded Ohio State Thursday afternoon.

Kamaria McDaniel led the team’s scoring attack with 16 points. Senior Teniya Page finishes her final game for Penn State with 14 points. According to a Penn State media release, Page ends her career with 2,110 career points, 425 rebounds and 417 assists.

A Big Ten Tournament championship was Penn State’s only chance at an NCAA Tournament berth. The loss ends Penn State’s 2018-19 campaign.

The team finishes the season at 12-18 overall and 5-13 in Big Ten play.
