Penn State cracked the top 15 of the first Coaches Poll.

The Nittany Lions check in at number 14, joining six other Big Ten teams in the Top 25. Four Penn State opponents are ranked in the first poll including Ohio State (5), Michigan (7), Iowa (19), and Michigan State (20).

Clemson and Alabama took the top two spots respectively.
