The Elk County Catholic Crusaders had to deal with multiple weather delays over two days to finally take home the District 9 Class 1A baseball championship.
The team defeated Otto-Eldred 12-2 in five innings Wednesday at Showers Field in DuBois.
The game was supposed to happen Tuesday, but weather and power issues forced the game to be postponed. Wednesday, the team then had to deal with a rain delay in the middle of the game.
It is the first district title for ECC since 2014.
