The Bellefonte baseball team came so close to extending its season Thursday afternoon.
The Red Raiders fell to East Pennsboro 2-1 in the PIAA quarterfinals. The team left the tying run stranded on third.
East Pennsboro pitcher Nick Embleton threw a complete game and did not give up a hit to Bellefonte until the final inning. He also drove in one of the Panthers’ runs.
