UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Almost everything is locked in for the 2018-19 Penn State women’s basketball campaign, as the Big Ten Conference has announced the dates and opponents for the conference season. Times and television designations will be announced later this fall.

In addition to the nine non-conference home games scheduled, the Lady Lions will host nine Big Ten contests in the friendly confines of the Bryce Jordan Center where Penn State has gone 27-6 over the last two seasons. The Big Ten home slate begins with the conference opener on Dec. 28 with a Friday tilt against Maryland.

The first road matchup of the conference season comes on New Year’s Eve when Penn State heads to Indiana (Dec. 31). The Lady Lions then return home to host Wisconsin (Jan. 3) before traveling to Rutgers (Jan. 6) for a Sunday showdown.

The Lady Lions will then host back-to-back home contests against Illinois (Jan. 12) and defending Big Ten Tournament champ Ohio State (Jan. 17). The two home games are followed by a pair of road tilts that serve as the back-ends of home and away matchups versus Maryland (Jan. 20) and Wisconsin (Jan. 24). Rutgers (Jan. 27) will pay a visit to the Bryce Jordan Center before the Lady Lions head to Michigan State (Jan. 31) for their sole meeting with the Spartans this season.

February action begins with a home tilt against Iowa (Feb. 3). Three of the next four games will be played on the road, with away contests coming at Ohio State (Feb. 6), Northwestern (Feb. 14) and Minnesota (Feb. 17). The lone home game during that two-week stretch will be against Michigan (Feb. 10).
