John Urschel has informed the Baltimore Ravens that he is retiring from the league after four seasons. He is also a former Nittany Lion.
There’s obviously much more to the 26-year-old Urschel than just football. He was drafted in the 5th round of the 2014 draft, but he is currently going for his PhD in math at MIT. Besides being a star anchor of the offensive line for the Nittany Lions, he was also awarded the William Campbell trophy after graduating from Penn State, which is given to the top academic player in college football.
