Tyrone expects to host thousands of visitors for “Hoopsfest” Saturday.

Hoopsfest is one of the biggest three-on-three basketball tournaments in the Northeast. You can find 34 outdoor basketball courts painted onto the streets of Tyrone.

The event will also hold a $500 Shot Contest and a Slam Dunk contest as well.

The schedule is as follows:

7:00-8:45am Team Check-in in the Armory (8U-18U divisions need to provide proof of age…can be any document that has the players age)

9:00am Welcome – Jim Kilmartin, Organizer; Mayor Bill Latchford
               National Anthem

9:15am Game play begins

9:15am-3pm Kids Zone (gravel lot behind Gardner’s Candies on Logan Ave.)

11:30-1pm Registration for 16U & 18U Boys Divisions@ Info Booth  (next to MC Station)

12:00pm Break for Lunch

12:10pm Speaker

12:15pm $500 Shot Contest
