Two-sport star Tyler Gaffney was just one of those guys you’ve heard about.

He now has two Super Bowl rings – and is currently an outfielder for the Altoona Curve.

You could have seen him on the football field – or the baseball field – at Stanford. He almost left football after his junior season for the baseball diamond.

He played 38 games for the State College Spikes – after being drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 26th round. He then returned to Stanford for his senior football season.

He starred as a running back for the Cardinal racking up 1,709 yards and 21 touchdowns in his final college year.

Then, his NFL dreams did not go the way he had hoped. In fact, Gaffney has never played in a regular-season NFL game. He was a member of the Patriots organization when the team won titles in the 2014 season and the 2016 season.

Now he is pursuing a pro baseball dream.
