Elk County Catholic boy’s basketball was one of a select few teams from our region to finish the regular season undefeated.  That’s also how they ended the district playoffs, being crowned the District Nine Class ‘A’ champions.

“It’s not about just playing basketball, it’s growing together, making friends because 20 years down the road, we’re not going to remember these wins but we’ll remember the friendships we made,” added  senior Benji Hoffman.

You don’t have to remind them that their first loss, would be their last, as they get ready to play Eden Christian at Clarion University on Friday night.

“I think the mentality is just win or go home.  This is it.  Push all your marbles in.  Here we go,” said junior Nate Dacanal.

If the Crusaders get their way, they’re far from done.

“After we won the D9 though, I don’t know if that was enough for us.  We want to win a couple in the state,” said senior Kyle Huff.

It will be a 7:30 P.M. tip-off on Friday night.
