The North Star Cougars have shown no hints of slowing down.  The team out of Boswell continues to surge well above their opponents, even at the state playoff level.

Tuesday night was the perfect example of that.  North Star ran over, around, and through Karns City, en route to a 50-30 dominating win.

When the Gremlins tried to clamp down on one weapon, another would player would spark the Cougars’ offense.

“I think we played well all season but right now we’re doing exceptionally well, playing really well together as a team,” said junior Jackie Stanko.

The goal all season for any team is to be playing their best ball in the month of March and North Star is doing just that.

“I would have to say we are,” said Head Coach Randy Schrock.  “I think we’ve been getting better every game and coming into this I thought it was going to be a little tighter than what it was, however, I’ll take that.  At the same time I just think we’re playing better right now.  We really are.”

Up next, North Star will meet Burrell on Friday.  The site and time are still being determined.
