Word banned from Trump car at parade

A Clearfield man is upset about parade restrictions for his Donald Trump car.

Ralph Lingle says a fair board member told him on Friday that he could not have the word “vote” on his car, which it does have on one side.

Members say that’s been their policy for several years and they also applied it to county Democrats taking part in the parade.

“We’ll see when I line up for the parade, if they put pressure on me to take it off, I’ll tape over it and write censored on it,” says Lingle.

“It’s just a policy that we do not allow the parties to put vote for or elect,” says fair board member and concessions manager Alan Roseberry.

We found Lingle at the parade route on Monday night where he had the “O” and “E” in vote covered with duct tape after he was forced to when he checked in for the parade.

Lingle was at the end of the parade in Division 3 and planned to ride with his granddaughter.

He said he’s also trying to get $1-million liability insurance on his car so he can park it at the fair and hand out Trump stickers.
