A Glen Richey woman plans to open a new pet cemetery on her farm.
Tracie Lytle says she picked a location of about five acres along a curve at 440 Lytle Road and is waiting to plot it out until she gets zoning approval.
She plans to accept everything from small pets to livestock for burial. Lytle says while planning the cemetery, she’s also checked with the DEP and the Clearfield County Conservation District.
“There’s been a lot of people that have wanted some place to bury their pets because they can’t bury them at apartments or maybe they’ re having moving or divorce, they don’t want to put it at their house,” says Lytle.
A zoning hearing is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Township building on the application from Dreams LLC.
Lytle says she also put her four kids on the application in case they would ever want to take over the pet cemetery.
