A rollover crash injured a Kersey woman this morning.
It happened around 10 a.m. on Route 28 near Reed Road, west of Brockway.
Police say Ruth Uhl, 61, was heading into Brockway when she went off the road and hit an embankment.
The road was shut down and a helicopter landed to take her to UPMC Altoona.
Nearby, Tia Meredith of Kersey was caught up in the delays and said she’d never seen a medical chopper in action, and was praying for everyone involved.
“When I got here, they were already working around the car and trying to get whoever was in there out,” says Meredith.
“The truck was coming south into Brockway and lost control on the wet roads and flipped on the bank,” says Fire Chief Jeff Fustine.
Fustine says a bystander helped Uhl get out of the pickup. Police are investigating.
