Police say a woman fired a shot that missed her boyfriend’s head by a couple feet.
Now, Kimberly Moats, 28, Summerville, is facing attempted homicide charges.
It happened around 9 p.m. on Wednesday on Toadtown Road near town.
The complaint says Moats and her partner were drinking, and got into an argument about her daughter that turned physical.
That’s when police say Moats got a rifle and pulled the trigger, and the bullet hit the kitchen door right near the man’s head.
Moats reportedly ran away but later returned to the house where she was arrested, according to the complaint.
“Anything of that nature that would be horrible to know that the gun was discharged that close to his head,” says neighbor Brian Crafton.
The complaint says police removed three live rounds from a rifle on the coffee table.
Police say Moats claimed she was shocked the gun went off. Her bail was set at $250,000 today, records show.
