The Penn State Sports Network is getting a new sideline reporter. Former Penn State standout Derrick Williams is joining the team this fall.
Williams earned All-Big Ten first team honors in 2008. He ranks 12th in the school’s history in receiving yards (1,743), fourth in receptions (161) and sixth in all-purpose yards (4,156).
After college ball, Williams was picked in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Lions and part of a seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Williams currently sells medical devices in his home state of Maryland.
