Becky Yockey surprised her husband, Dean, with tickets and a trip to the Rose Bowl to see his beloved Nittany Lions take on the Trojans of USC. 

The video of the surprise went viral, sweeping across the internet and into the hearts of Nittany Nation. Becky and the four daughters they share wanted to get these tickets for Dean because of his constant sacrifices. A family man, Dean does whatever he can for his wife and daughters.

When the tickets were revealed, Dean asked where they were able to get the money to purchase the trip. Becky explained, “It’s because it was for him that he was like ‘wait a minute, we don’t have the money for this!’ But if it was for the girls, or if I said that I really wanted to go, he would make it happen. That’s the difference, he has always sacrificed to make sure me and the girls have everything we needed.”

Touched by the gesture, Dean anxiously awaits January 2nd. He detailed the feeling, “It’s amazing. I feel like a little kid. Like I was in school again waiting for Christmas to come. I mean, it’s in 3 weeks and I wish it was today.”

The only thing that could make the trip better for the Yockeys would be coming home with a win for the blue and white.
