With only about three months left until the general election, the democrats are left without a candidate.  Cambria County Democratic Chairman, Frank Fantauzzo, says don’t count the party out just yet.

“I guarantee I’m going to do it quickly, but in a professional way.  I want a winner.  I don’t want to lose.  That’s been our seat for a good many years and we want to keep it.”

Fantauzzo will not reveal his candidate choices yet, as it still has to be discussed.  He says he has two individuals, both with political backgrounds in mind.

“Both of them I think can beat our opponent.”

According to the chairman, he has to call an executive board meeting to replace Senator Wozniak.  Once they have a candidate, they give their recommendation to an executive board in Harrisburg for approval.  The republican challenger, Wayne Langerholc, told WTAJ no matter who his opponent is his message is the same, “It’s about jobs.  It’s about bringing jobs to this district.  It’s about reducing crime, creating a business friendly environment, and putting people back to work.”

Fantauzzo says the democrats must have their candidate selected and ready to go no later than October 25.
