A major construction project is set to begin on a busy road in State College.
The long-awaited bridge and road project on Waddle Road will eventually ease traffic congestion in the area, but it will cause a headache for drivers in the meantime.
Crews will widen Waddle Road Bridge over Route 322 and add turning lanes on the Route 322 westbound off ramp and at the Colonnade Boulevard and Waddle Road intersection. Waddle Road from Strouse Avenue to Toftrees Avenue will be widened, too.
The $14.1 million project is expected to last at least two years.
PennDOT reminds drivers to move through work zones with caution and obey posted speed limits.
