Employees at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home have been suspended. The AFSCME union held a meeting Tuesday night in Duncansville.
WTAJ wasn’t allowed to stay for the meeting but was able to talk to union officials before it got started. They said they weren’t able to comment fully as to what was going on but that there were around 50 employees suspended. The official said that a criminal investigation is taking place but that none of the union members are involved in that investigation.
It’s not clear yet who is conducting the criminal investigation or what the allegation of charges are.
WTAJ has reached out to the department of military veteran’s affairs for comment for more information but they could not be reached at this time.
