PennDOT has lifted the temporary vehicle restrictions on Interstates 70 and 99 as of 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Crews are continuing to treat roadways in the region and will continue until roads are clear.

The purpose of the ban was to help ensure the interstates remain open during the most challenging conditions of the winter storm. Conditions have improved.

While PennDOT recommends not traveling during winter storms, motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway mile, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day.
