There were scary moments for some drivers today when a car crashed into a DuBois building.

It happened around 9 a.m. at the State Farm building on N. Brady Street.

Police say a white SUV was heading west on Brady and ran a stoplight at Scribner Avenue, hitting a brown SUV that was crossing on Scribner, and pushing it into the building.

The man in the brown SUV was taken away to the hospital to be checked out.

“I was just driving along and I didn’t see the light, and the gentleman I hit told me I ran a red light, so I kind of had an accident,” says Judy Peterson of Falls Creek, who was involved in the crash. “Tell everybody, please pay attention to the lights. I don’t want to see this happen to anybody else.”

The brown SUV actually hit by some gas meters, but the building and the pipes did not appear to be damaged.
