If you live, work or drove through Centre County on Monday, you may have caught a glimpse of some decked out vans.
The Centre County Transportation office joined forces with The Friendly Cities Lab at Penn State to decorate four vans for Halloween.
The vans are “dressed up” as a witch, taco, bunny and shark. They were designed by local elementary school students.
The project’s organizers hope to raise awareness about their services and to put a little laughter into Halloween.
“It’s awesome. I mean everybody is looking, but it’s nice that they’re actually looking and maybe they’re catching the name of the county and that’s why we’re doing it, to raise awareness to people that we’re out here,” driver Joyce Shufelt said.
The county offers free transportation services for anyone over the age of 60. To learn more about the services or to sign up, call 814-355-6807.
