A piece of land in Ferguson Township, Centre County that has sat vacant for years may finally see new tenants.

Pending board approval from the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors, a Weis Gas-n-Go and a Dunkin Donuts could be the newest businesses to take over the empty lot along the 1400 block of North Atherton Street, between Hoss’s and PNC Bank.

The Ferguson Township Planning Commission decided Monday night to recommend the board approve plan designs for the lot.

“They are proposing six fuel dispensaries, along with a Dunkin Donuts building, which is approximately 2,500 square feet,” Ray Stolinas, Director of Planning and Zoning for the township, said. “They’ll have an access off of North Atherton Street being a right in, right out along with pedestrian access from the Weis Supermarket, which is just south of the proposed site.”

The supervisors will review the recommendation at their next meeting on Monday.
