For obvious reasons USC feels right at home. They get to train at their own facility and even sleep in their own beds but there is one thing keeping the Trojans up at night and that’s the Nittany Lions offense.

“You know they’re a little bit of everybody we’ve played to be honest with you, except Stanford,” said Clancy Pendergast, USC Defensive Coordinator. “They’re very balanced in what they do and they’re very good at running the football, not only with the running back but the quarterback as well and they take a lot of shots down the field.”

There’s no denying the Nittany Lions and the Trojans path to the Rose Bowl Game. Penn State is running a nine game win streak while US has won eight straight.

USC Linebacker Cameron Smith: “I just think it’s a cool thing from what both programs have come through and what they did to come here, pretty much how the seasons gone for both teams.  We got hot late and we both have a lot in common with each other.”

Southern Cal is used to seeing up temp style offense while playing in the PAC 12 and believe the Nittany Lions would fit in on the West Coast.

USC Linebacker Michael Hutchings: “Great quarterback and running back duo.  We probably haven’t seen anything like it all year.  Just as strong as a tandem as they are.  Their offense isn’t a typical big ten offense. They’re not big, they’re not slow, they run a spread.  They could easily compete in the PAC 12, just by their offense being explosive.
