Thursday, the United Sates Appeals Court refused to reinstate President Trump’s ban on travelers from seven Muslim-majority nations: Iraq, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia.
A three-judge panel heard arguments over the phone on Tuesday. They issued a 29-page opinion:
“We hold that the Government has not shown a likelihood of success on the merits of its appeal, nor has it shown that failure to enter a stay would cause irreparable injury, and we therefore deny its emergency motion for a stay.”

.@realDonaldTrump should rescind this executive order tonight, abandon the religious tests & work on commonsense ways to increase security.— Senator Bob Casey (@SenBobCasey) February 9, 2017
