The Tyrone hospital announced they are expanding their radiology services, by adding a cardiac MRI machine.
The new technology is considered the gold standard for evaluating heart structures and will be able to take still and moving pictures of the heart and major blood vessels.
This is the only cardiac MRI service offered in the county.
Previously, patients had to travel an hour or more for this kind of treatment.
