The Tussey Mountain School Board has voted to close Robertsdale and Defiance elementary schools.
The Tussey Mountain School Board says its currently facing a $700,000 deficit and closing the schools will save them a little more than $900,000.
The board also voted to rename the remaining elementary school from Saxton-Liberty to Tussey Mountain Elementary. The middle school will now house grades 5 through 8.
