Due to the rally for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump there has been some changes to the schedule for reassessment meetings.
According to the Blair County Commissioners all reassessment appeal hearings scheduled for Friday afternoon will be moved from the Convention Center to the Blair County Courthouse. The morning meetings will be held.
“We made this change because the Trump event and security surrounding it will make the venue a chaotic situation, which we would like to avoid for our taxpayers,” the commissioners announced. “We hope the people understand the situation and will be cooperative with the Assessment Office and EST personnel for changes.”
Meetings scheduled on Monday will take place back at the Convention Center as scheduled.
