A tractor-trailer cruising down the highway in Jefferson County suddenly flips on its side.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. near Mile 89 on I-80.

One of the front “steering” tires blew out, causing the westbound truck which was carrying re-bar to go off side of the road in the median, Falls Creek Fire Chief Mark Miller said.

The driver was able to get himself out of the cab and did not need to be taken in an ambulance, Miller said.
