The tourism director in Clearfield County has submitted her resignation, and it was accepted today.

Only one person remains working at CCRTA after executive director Holly Komonczi resigned via letter, saying her future goals do not align with the new board, county commissioner and CCRTA secretary Mark McCracken said.

Also today, commissioners voted at their meeting to ask the state to officially reduce CCRTA’s board from 12 to nine members. McCracken says Komonczi did not attend this morning’s special CCRTA meeting.

“She was to be back from her 30-day suspension on Friday. Yesterday, she submitted her resignation,” says McCracken.

The next step is a “memorandum of understanding” between the county and CCRTA. The CCRTA appointed attorney Andrew Gates to work on that agreement with county solicitor Kim Kesner.
