BEDFORD – Old Bedford Village is looking more like the Old West over the weekend, and the rain isn’t stopping them!

Reenactors say this is largest old west event east of Mississippi There’s about 150 them in town this weekend, living, dressing and acting just like the folks would in the Old Wild West of the 1800s.

They were expecting about 800 people to show up.

Reenactors aren’t the only ones that get into it; visitors get to participate in some of the activities.
And there’s plenty to do even in the rain.

“All during the day we have programs for kids,” said Ken Hall, Volunteer Program Director Old West Old Bedford Village. “They can mine gold back behind us, they can come to the tent right over there and play pharaoh. They can come into the saloon. There’s lots of things to do, you know, weather or not.”

The Old West at Old Bedford Village continues Sunday.
