An 18-year-old is facing charges after a report of shots fired in the Moxham neighborhood of Johnstown Saturday night.
According to the Tribune Democrat, Justin, R. Way, 18, and two others are accused of firing multiple rounds of bullets into a home on the 700 Block of Coleman Avenue. At least two people were inside the home at the time.
Johnstown Police say they received a tip about Way’s involvement and that the suspects were coming in to Johnstown on Bedford Street on Sunday. Police conducted a traffic stop and found a .380-caliber Walther handgun inside the vehicle.
When questioned, Way admitted to illegally buying the gun and passing it on to the two other suspects before stealing a car in Richland Township. The three then went to the Moxham neighborhood where they shot the home.
Way is facing several charges including; Aggravated Assault, Carrying A Firearm Without A License and Discharging A Firearm Into An Occupied Structure.
He remains in the Cambria County Prison after failing to post $325,000 bail.
