Police say a teenager is in jail after an armed robbery in Elk County.

Colby McCandless, 19, St. Marys, met with a man along the first block of Erie Av. around 7 p.m. Monday, according to police.

The victim told police he was showing McCandless some buprenorphine pills, when McCandless pulled out a handgun and took them, the complaint states.

When the victim tried to get the pills back, another man stepped in and held a knife to the victim’s neck, police said.

McCandless was later arrested and brought in for questioning. His bail was set at $50,000.
